Hollywood's most eligible bachelor shrugged off the tag given to him in a picture perfect wedding in Venice's Aman Canal Grande Hotel, Italy to British-Lebanese human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin on September 27, 2014. The pair tied exchanged vows in a traditional ceremony, officiated by their friend, former Rome mayor Walter Veltroni. The Oscar winner was wearing an Giorgio Armani tuxedo as his bride to be stunned everyone with a Oscar de la Renta gown.
They were joined by their families and close friends which included Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Bono, and other Hollywood stars who studded the water taxis on the big day.
The road to Venice wasn't quite Roman Holiday-esque. Clooney, 53, revealed at charity dinner that he and Alamuddin first met in Italy. Their first public appearance, however, was when they were photographed at Berners Tavern. The two were discussing a satellite program over Syria, Clooney's representative said at the time. (Clooney' Satellite Sentinel Project monitors human rights abuses).
However, it's the duo's presence at White House screening of Clooney's film The Monuments Men on February 18, holding hands that indicated their status quo. They were engaged on April 28, 2014.
