Canadian actor Vik Sahay best known for playing Lester Patel in the NBC television series Chuck has wrapped on the new indie comedy ‘My Awkward Sexual Adventure’.

In this film he will be playing the role of a lady’s man and best friend to the lead character (played by Josh Chernick who triples as writer, producer and star). The film will world premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival in September 2012.

Vik Sahay recently wrapped shooting a lead role in the new William Brent Bell horror film WER, slated for theatrical release in 2013. Sahay joined the original cast of the Universal Pictures comedy American Reunion as ‘Prateek Duraiswamy’ a high school nerd bullied by legendary character ‘Stifler’ who’s now boss to the under-ambitious party boy. The film was released in theaters world wide on April 6, 2012.

For the past five years, Sahay starred on NBC’s series “Chuck” as ‘Lester Patel,’ the morally challenged frenemy to Zachary Levi’s title character, member of the ‘Nerd Herd’ and lead singer of the fictional band ‘Jeffster.’ The role gave Sahay his US break and a reputation as ‘defier of multiple stereotypes and scene stealer.” The series aired its series finale in January 2012, and will always be remembered for the now famous fan initiative through Subway Sandwiches.

The film “Afghan Luke” by director Mike Clattenburg also premiered at the TIFF and stars Sahay as the journalistic nemesis to the title character played by Nick Stahl, trying to stop the discovery of a scandal involving war crimes in Afghanistan.

Sahay, an accomplished comedic actor, was born in Montréal, Canada. As a young boy, he learned Indian Cal dance with his brother, Sidharth, and appeared with him on 1979’s television show “You Can’t Do That on Television.” He went on to attend Canterbury High School of the Arts in Ottawa, Ontario, and studied Theatre Performance at Montreal's Concordia University.

Prior to joining the action-comedy series “Chuck,” Sahay appeared in many television movies and series. Sahay played the lead character in YTV’s “Radio Active,” in addition to starring roles in Bruce McDonald’s “Platinum, ” “Escape from The Newsroom” by Ken Finkleman, the Nickelodeon TV-movie series “Roxy Hunter,” and guest spots on “Without a Trace” and “Las Vegas.” The actor spent two seasons on the hit Canadian television series “This is Wonderland,” which won a Canadian Gemini Award. He also received a Canadian Comedy Award nomination for his role on the series “Our Hero.”
