Mahatma Phule “Lives Again” in Silver Screen

The ever venerated social reformer Mahatma Phule’s life becomes the theme for a Marathi film titled as “Mahatma Phule”. “Swapna Tujhe Ne Majhe” directed by Ashok Kamble and produced by Sachin Bhalinge, portray the thoughts and views of Mahatma Phule on the life of rural society. The film is produced under the banner of Namdeo Umaji Cine Arts and which is already hit the screen through ot the state of Maharashtra.

The film features Milind Gunaji, Omkar Karve, Anita Vishwasrao, Neha Joshi, Nitin Paregaonkar, Milind Dastane, Sanchit Yadav, Medha Gkhale, Suresh Dhade, Anil Sutar, Priya Gamar, Ashok Pawade, and Vidya Bhagavt in major roles. Shankar Mahadevan has scored the music for this film.

“Swapna Tujhe Ne Majhe” tells the story of two friends Vidyadhar and Vishwas living in the city. Sudden death of Vishwas instigates Vidyadhar to fulfill his best friend’s dream to become a successful farmer. This is a turning point of the story. Then Vidyadhar with his urban background go to the village, the native place of Vishwas. His life became a mess, full with trouble and challenges. Attitude of the villagers towards his urban background was a major hitch. How Vidyadhar deals with the challenges and win the love of villagers and success in his bid is an interesting and inspiring part of the story.

To develop the farming business, accepting its day to day challenges and applying latest technology and make farming a profitable business is a dream of young generation is the theme of this movie. This film will help and change the present student’s generation who is doing their degree in agricultural courses and their not so happy attitude about the main stream agricultural business to the hopeful and best one.
