Indian Films to Gain Supremacy in Oscars

Saint Dracula 3D, Hau De Jarasa Ushir, Color of Sky, All Lights film Magazine

 

Three films from India will compete in the ‘Best Film’ category of 85th Academy Awards. As the first announcements on the ‘Best Film’ have been declared, Saint Dracula 3D, Color of Sky and ‘Hau De Jarasa Usheer’ are appreciative to have been selected for 2013 Oscar race from India. This is for the first time that three films from India is concurrently makes entry to Oscars. 

Saint Dracula 3D’ the Hollywood film from India, is the world’s first Dracula film in 3D.. Sohan Roy, the Oscar selected director from India who gained international recognition and accolades including Oscar selection through his debut film DAM 999 is the project designer for ‘Saint Dracula 3D’ which explores the human side of Dracula who is thirst for love. The script and direction of the film is credited to Rupesh Paul.

The ‘Color of Sky’ is directed by Dr.Biju which has already been screened in numerous international film festivals like like 15th Shanghai International Film Festival, 8th Eurasia International Film Festival, 48th Chicago International Film festival, South Asian , Vancouver, Canada, 18th Kolkata International film festival, India and Tallinn Black Night Film Festival, Estonia is the very first Malayalam film compete for Golden Goblet award at 15th Shanghai international film festival. Dr.Biju the internationally acclaimed film maker from India has debuted as Writer and Director with the film Saira (2005). It was the opening film in the section ‘Cinema Of The World’ at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2007. ‘Raman – Travelogue of Invasion’ (2008) and ‘The way home’ are his other films.

‘Hou De Jarasa Ushir’ is the story of three people working in a software company, fighting a lonely battle trying to balance work and life. The film has been directed by debutant Marathi filmmakers Wasim and Tahir Maner. The film cast is very excited to have reached this level and hope that their movie would make it’s well deserved spot in the hearts of the jury as well as people worldwide.
