Chris Pratt discusses playing 'bad guy' in The Kid

Chris Pratt/ All Lights Film MagazineChris Pratt embraced playing the villain in his latest movie The Kid after being the hero in the Jurassic Park and Guardians Of The Galaxy movie franchises.

The 39-year-old actor during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday was asked about being the bad guy in the new Western action thriller.

'It was kind of nice. An opportunity to do something different,' Chris said.

The actor said that The Kid director Vincent D'Onofrio, 59, thought of him for the part.'When he was putting his spin on this script, I confided that I would never be able to play a bad guy and he was like, ''Oh, I can make you bad'',' Chris revealed.Chris also said he appreciated Vincent's straight-forward demeanor while filming.

'He can be really direct. It's in the word director,' Chris said.The Kid also starring Vincent, Ethan Hawke, Dane DeHaan, Jake Schur and Adam Baldwin will open on Friday.

Chris also spoke about his 100-acre farm north of Seattle and said he has about 150 animals.

He said the working farm will soon add about 60 lambs.'It's an awesome outlet for me. I'm lucky to be a glamour farmer,' Chris said.

Chris after The Kid can next be seen on the big screen in Avengers: Endgame.

He will reprise his role as Peter Quill aka Star-Lord who was turned to dust by Thanos at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.
